The ECCO Leather Vault

The ECCO Leather Vault was a B2C webshop that operated from 2022 to 2025, created to make ECCO Leather’s experimental leathers directly accessible to a broader creative audience — from students and makers to small brands and designers. The webshop offered one-off and small-batch leathers, often handcrafted and designed in the ECCO Leather Design Studio. These unique, high-quality materials — no longer used for their original purpose — were given a new life through the Vault, supporting sustainability and reducing waste.

In 2024, the Digital Vault was introduced, enabling users to explore and test leathers digitally within their own designs. This expansion allowed ECCO Leather to enter the 3D design space at the intersection of craftsmanship and digital innovation.

The project gained quite some online exposure, including a feature on Hypebeast.

My role
• Project management: full responsibility for webshop setup and development
• Inventory management and product uploads
• Product photography and content creation
• Order handling and logistics coordination
• Stakeholder management (including shipment partners)
• Customer service and support
• Marketing: targeted Instagram & TikTok campaigns, email marketing, Google Ads
• Managing collaborations with ‘ambassadors’; leather ‘influencer’ marketing
• Data analysis and performance reporting
